Day 3 - Greek Chicken Gyros
I did write this on April 3d but somehow I only saved it and never posted it until now.
They were scrumdilicious! And I am really quite tired. Started marinating the chicken last night. This morning I made the tzatziki, which is really easy to make. Then this afternoon I had a facial which has completely relaxed me. I made the “salad” for the gyros when I came home afterwards. The salad is red onion, cucumbers and tomatoes so that wasn’t too hard. The chicken was exquisite, though next time I will grill the chicken instead of frying. It really splattered quite a bit and well, lessons learned. But all the flavors came together in the most delightful gyros way! It’s only been three days and all has been wonderful. I know there will be a recipe well maybe there will be, that I won’t like but I do believe that will be few and far between. I’m not a person who likes duck and there is one recipe or two that are duck related. I told Mike that he can eat them and then give me the details if it was tasty or not. I’m sure it will be, though! I’m trying to figure out all this blog stuff and perhaps this weekend I will be able to figure out how to post pictures of the recipes I’ve prepared. My friend Linda will be helping me with that, she a whiz at this stuff. And hats off to Gemini, he’s amazing when it comes to figuring out this blog. After the last three days tomorrow’s dinner will be a breeze. Until tomorrow, this lion sleeps tonight!
